Introducing The Death Knight Wow’s First Hero Class
With millions of players all over the world, there isn’t any doubt that WoW is a gaming success. Aside from its excellent game play and graphics, WoW’s major attraction is its versatility as well as continually changing challenges that keeps players on the edge.
The arrival of a new character, Death Knight in WoTLK has definitely restarted all the interest in the game.
So what does a death knight do?
At first glance, the first character of the Hero Class doesn’t seem to differ much from other classes – expect for a few tweaks in the role. For one thing, only players ranking 55 and above can create the DK which places the character at level 55 upon being created.
Quest and Abilities of the Death Knight. The DK uses Runic Power for his abilities and is loyal to the Lich King.
He has six runes in all that are subject to a cooldown.
The DK also has access to special abilities which he can use through the Runic Power that gain in number each time he uses a rune.
Initially, the quest would start with the Death Knight having 20 silvers and sporting a full green gear. Games will find themselves starting the quest at the Ebon Hold, Eastern Plagueland. This is where the ability called Runeforging will be acquired by the player in “The Emblazoned Runeblade” quest. Once a player harvest this ability, he has the power to forge a run on his weapons.
The great thing about the death knight character is that a player doesn’t even have to go through Ebon Hold to reach level 57. By the time this happens, the character will start to sport an even much cooler gear of blue items.
The DK is similar to other classes with its three talent trees: Blood, Frost and Unholy.
In the same way, players have the option of mixing these talents together to get the abilities they want.
With this new character, players can get their hands on some cool gear even at just level 58. The DK is also of the melee class which means that it can use both two-handed or one-handed weapons chosen from the roster of available items. The Death Knight wears a strong plate armor for defense although the Shield option is not available to the character.
Death Knight Character Rundown
For those playing WoW and are in the market for newer challenges, the DK is a great choice. It doesn’t take long to level up on the character, allowing you to find treasures and upgrade as much as possible. An added advantage is the fact that the DK starts at level 55.
The problem is that most players have chosen the Death Knight as their character. Due to this, non-DK characters are pretty low in number, making it hard to join groups and performing other activities that require group effort.
