HP LaserJet 3380 Printer: Stocking Up With The Right Equipment For Print Tasks

Take a few minutes to size up the HP LaserJet 3380 printer using HP LaserJet 3380 toner.  Once you have done so, you will be pleased with what it can do. It is a monochrome all-in-one machine, meaning that it not only prints, but also faxes, scans and copies almost any document. This versatility is bound to be attractive to almost any small office or home office-based business on a budget.

The 3380 printer has been rated by most experts as being easy to use. It comes with a wide variety of helpful features and characteristics and it is relatively inexpensive to run and maintain. Additionally, print quality is good across the board and any business that doesn’t require color printing will be sure to be please with all that it can do.

Looked at with a cool eye, one is presented with a monochrome print machine that also is capable of producing as a digital copier. This means it uses laser jet cartridges to print and then delivers copies making use of digital technologies. At 20 ppm of print speed, which is fairly speedy for an all-in-one machine, it will also stand out from other all-in-one machines made by other manufacturers.

Print resolution from the 3380 is also excellent  and comes in at 1,200 x 1,200 dots per inch (dpi). It can connect to a desktop PC by means of parallel or high-speed USB ports and is also compatible with an extremely wide range of operating systems, including several different Windows (including MS Windows NT) as well as a number of Mac, UNIX and Linux operating systems.

The duty cycle when it acts as a copier is set at 10,000 impressions, which should be more than enough to accommodate the needs of most small office/home office (SOHO) businesses. When the 3380 works as a scanner, expect it to be able to scan a document at 600 x 600 dpi with color depth set at 24-bit and black-and-white depth at 8-bit. Both are more than acceptable criteria for any scanner.

There isn’t much to complain about either, when the 3380 is tasked to work as a fax machine. For starters, it comes with a 33.6 kb per second modem, which should be more than enough to get most documents to where they need to go quickly and easily. It has a 250 page storage bank, memory-wise, and it can print out documents faxed to it at 20 pages per minute, as well. It’s also able to send out faxes from a PC, which means that the 3380 is very versatile.

The 3380 holds up to 250 sheets of paper within its tray and it can print out on a large number of different media types. There is a 10 sheet bypass feeder and the output tray can hold up to 125 sheets of product. All of these features combine to give to the small office or home office-based business a very nice all-in-one office machine.

There are a great many positive attributes that the HP LaserJet 3380 printer brings to the table. It seems able to perform well, not only as a printer but also as a copier, fax machine or scanner. It currently lists for around $500, but some discount outlets are selling it for under $300. Also, used and refurbished machines are going for his little as $150. Given all of its capabilities, there really doesn’t seem to be too much to quibble about when it comes to the this HP printer.

There’s a good bit to like about the HP LaserJet 3380 laser toner also, as it’s fairly well known that HP compatible toner is a top performer.  You’ll add to the value of this printer when ordering printer toner cartridges at competitive prices.
