The state of the environment has become a very hot topic lately. It’s funny how no one even knew what global warming even was a few decades ago. Throughout the 21st century there has been undeniable evidence that global warming is a serious problem. If you’re one of those people that look at snowstorms lately and feel that proves global warming is not a concern, then you really need to educate yourself a little more. Global warming isn’t about short term weather, but rather long term climate changes throughout several years. Take a look at the long term climate changes – we have had the warmest decade in recorded history, and that isn’t negated by one snow storm. Now of course, whether changes all the time over the short term, but it is the long term trends that are important – and there is undeniable evidence that temperatures over the last few decades have risen. We are seeing see levels rise (due to melting of icebergs) and average temperatures steadily increasing.

So how can you do your part to save the environment? There are tons of organizations and companies that you can consider joining that are dedicated to helping the environment. A particularly interesting organization I came across lately is Silva Tree. This is a company that offers environmental investments.
